Italian Trade Finance has partnered with AS Associated Contractors to provide support to foreign buyers of Industrial equipment exported by Italian Manufacturers.  AS Associated Contractors have 15 years experience in optimizing methods of financing  the payment of capital goods manufactured in and exported from Italy.

 

Buying capital equipment from Italy allows the Supplier to benefit from OECD term supplier's credits without the necessity of incurring ECA insurance costs. In collaboration with its banks in Europe, AS has the ability to fix the interest rate for financing the proceeds of such Supplier's Credit at competitive and advantageous conditions.

 

The Buyer may honor the Credit in advance, earning a reduction in the purchase price of the goods or guarantee the payment of the Credit by a Letter of Credit with a lower interest rate. The Supplier, on it's side, may discount the proceeds of the Credit with its bank in Italy and negotiate recourse with Simest SpA for interest rate support allowing for the full payment of the goods exported without cost.

 

The contractual documents include:

 

   - The contract between the Buyer and the designated Italian Supplier indicating that the transaction is to be financed through the intermediation of AS Associated Contractors

 

   - A Three Party Agreement between AS, the Buyer and the Italian Supplier stipulating that the Supplier shall remain responsible towards the Buyer, as well as the Buyer to the Supplier for the timely and correct fulfilment of their respective obligations for the supply of the equipment including delivery, quality, quantity and performance.     

 

   - A Letter from AS Associated Contractors to the Buyer and acknowledged by the Buyer, confirming the sale of the equipment, the price, the terms of payment and the agreed benefit.
